Some people are unaware that some of the Sura titles in the Quran were historically known by different names than they are commonly understood today. Two examples of this are Sura 17 and Sura 9.
Sura 9
Today, most printed Qurans call Sura 9 at-Tuwba ( ٱلتوبة ) The Repentance, yet the original name for this Sura was Barra ( بَرَاءَةٌ ) Ultimatum. Below are examples of various manuscripts of the Quran showing this title being used.

Sura 17
The original name for Sura 17 was Bani Israel (بني إسرائيل), Children of Isreal, yet today, many printed Qurans call this sura Al-Isra ( الإسراء ), The Night Journey. Below are examples of various manuscripts of the Quran showing this title being used.
